This is another new service for ICBC credit card holders to make payments in installments, on the basis of installment payments through telephone, Internet Banking, ICBC counter, or self-service channels. When credit card holders pay for retail transactions at POS, ICBC will send SMS to those who are eligible and invite them to make the payments in installments. Customers can open the service by just replying the SMS. Once payments are made in installments, ICBC deducts the amounts of installments in periods agreed by the customers and handling charges. Customers make repayment in monthly installments.

1. Which types of personal credit cards can be used to sign up the service?
ICBC Credit Card (including Dual-Currency Credit Card, Multi-Currency Credit Card, RMB Credit Card, excluding Easy Loan Credit Card).
2. Is there any banking charge for the service? What is the rate? How to collect?
The banking charge for the service and the collection of such charge are the same as in installment payment service. Details on the amount and collection will be provided in the SMS.
3. My card has not signed up balance change alert SMS, can I sign up this service?
Currently, this service is only available to customers who have subscribed balance change alert SMS. You are recommended to subscribe balance change alert SMS since the invitation SMS is sent to you after sending the balance change alert SMS. Besides, balance change alert SMS is a service free of charge currently. Once you subscribe you get instant information on your credit card account.
4. I have not received any invitation SMS from ICBC, in this case can I directly send a SMS to request paying for my retail transaction in installments?
Sorry, you cannot. ICBC system automatically sends SMS to retail transactions that meet with the criteria and invites customer to make the payment in installments. Customer replies the SMS if he/she agrees.
