"ICBC PICC Car Credit Card" is a co-branded and car insurance themed chip credit card jointly issued by Industrial and Commercial Bank of China ("ICBC") and PICC Property and Casualty Company Limited ("PICC").
"ICBC PICC Car Credit Card" is a China Union Pay branded card, including "chip card" and "chip + magnetic stripe card". There are three types of ICBC PICC Car Credit Card depending on the credit rating of holders: Platinum Card, Gold Card and Classic Card. Holders of master card can also apply for sub-cards if compliant with ICBC card-issuing polices. Both master card and sub-card are China UnionPay branded cards.
1. License Plate Number Embossed on the Card
In order to reflect the uniqueness of ICBC PICC Car Credit Card and let cardholders enjoy value-added services, the license plate number of cardholder's vehicle is embossed on the front of the card. The embossed license plate number is a 10-digit alphanumeric string, the Chinese character of the license plate number is replaced by phone area code.
2. Free Insurance for New Cardholders
Once you successfully apply for ICBC PICC Car Credit Card, you are entitled to a one-year free "credit card theft insurance" from PICC. If your credit card is lost, stolen or robbed, PICC will compensate your monetary loss caused by unauthorized transactions within 48 hours before the loss reporting is in force, up to RMB30,000 per card every year. The insurance shall take effect seven days after you successfully apply for the card.
In the event of insurance accident, you should call PICC Beijing Office's service hotline "010-95518" immediately. The service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. 95518 call desk will listen what has happened to you. PICC claim specialists will contact you within two working days.
3. Free Rescue Service
Cardholders are entitled to 1-year car rescue service free of charge (license plate number must be reserved when applying for ICBC PICC Car Credit Card). If your family car under 9 seats gets wrong and you need services (car towing, fuel delivery, jump starts, tyre replacement, tyre inflation), you can call PICC car rescue service line (95518 press 9) and enjoy the service free of charge. Free car rescue service shall be available 10 days after you activate the card.
Note: Free car towing service is limited to 50 kilometers. You have to pay for the gasoline delivered and auto parts for tyre replacement. Car rescue services are not available in some highways, tunnels, bridges, and elevated roads which are restricted to rescued cars by Transport Department or road management authority.
4. More Value-added Services for Platinum Card
If you have successfully applied for an ICBC PICC Car Platinum Credit Card, you are entitled to a range of high-end services exclusively for Platinum cardholders: dedicated customer manager, special fee reduction, Green Pass (Platinum Card Services), emergency card replacement, emergency cash withdrawal, aviation accident insurance, travel inconvenience insurance, access to VIP lounges at domestic airports.
