ICBC successfully acquired 80% of the shares of Standard Bank Argentina in November 2012 and officially changed its name to the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Argentina) Limited (“ICBC Argentina”) in April 2013. ICBC (Argentina) is currently the only Chinese bank with 107 outlets in Argentina, establishing a sound retail business service channel system covering brick and mortar outlet, self-service equipment, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, and call center. i.Retail products and services
ICBC (Argentina) has a full and complete personal banking business product line covering all product categories, hence enabling to provide financial services to customers of different market segments.
1.Accounts
Personal accounts of subsidiary banks are divided into savings accounts and check accounts. Check accounts can provide account overdraft, check opening and other business. To open an account, you need to have a local residence certificate and pay taxes in Argentina.
2.Deposits
Saving and time deposits are available in ARS and USD in subsidiary banks.
3.Loans
Subsidiary banks currently provide personal loans, car loans and other varieties to individual customers.
4.Bank Cards
Subsidiary banks currently issue Visa co-branded debit card as well as Visa and MasterCard co-branded credit cards. Credit cards comprise of classic, gold, platinum, Visa Signature and MasterCard black card.
5.Agent Services
Subsidiary banks provide agent services for insurance and fund. Insurance covers life, housing, medical, auto, ATM withdrawals, technology product, travel and other varieties. Fund is Alpha fund managed by ICBC Investment (Argentina), including money market funds, fixed income funds and equity funds.
6.Safe deposit box
Most outlets provide different types of safe deposit box rental services.
