I. Description
Investment & financing advisory service is a single or combined advisory service provided by ICBC for the customer’s investment & financing activities, including financing policies and environmental analysis, customer investment & financing capability diagnosis, investment & financing asset risk and income analysis, design of investment & financing plans and schemes, investment & financing maturity structure matching, recommendation and selection of investment & financing instruments, returns improvement and financing cost control, credit enhancement and design of debt repayment plan, investment banking product distribution, investment banking integration service, interbank cooperation, non-standard investment syndications and other investment innovation advisory services.
Investment advisory service mainly makes use of ICBC’s existing strength in customers, funds, information and network to design short-term or medium to long-term investment plans for the customers based on their needs and business development strategy; makes preliminary preparations for the major project investment or equity investment; and performs the follow-on advisory services for the customers’ investment activities. For example, ICBC assists the customers to carry out comprehensive estimate of financial plans and formulate short-term fund utilization plans and short-term investment plans, and makes full use of various financial products, including deposits, bills, funds, wealth management products, foreign exchange and derivatives to help customers efficiently use their short-term funds; ICBC also assists customers to develop their major investment plans, prepare the medium to long-term investment plans and analyze the risks and returns of bonds, equity and fixed asset investment products. The aim of the investment consultancy service is to help the customers optimize the asset structure and reduce the non-profit and inefficient assets; broaden the investment channels and increase the types of investment products; reasonably arrange the investment maturities and enhance the flexibility and adaptability of investment; control investment risks and increase investment returns.

For example, ICBC assists the customers in preparing the short-term and medium to long-term financing plans, and makes full use of the various debt financing instruments or equity financing instruments provide advisory services for the customers’ routine or major financing activities, and helps the customers select proper fund providers, negotiate with fund providers and arrange the funds, etc. The aim of the financing advisory service is to help the customers optimize their balance sheet structure and equity structure; broaden the financing channels and reasonably arrange the financing maturities; control the comprehensive financing cost and raise the investment returns of the customers’ shareholders.
